[Second Company to Obtain Final Approval for Virtual Asset Exchange Business in Cambodia
Launch Ceremony Confirmed in Phnom Penh on July 25]
[TechWorldNews Reporter Park Ji-sung] Blockchain company WnK System (CEO: Kang Jae-ho) announced on the 11th that it has received approval from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia for the Mekong Exchange virtual asset trading system business. The request for approval was submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Finance after passing two final reviews from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SERC) on June 27.
As a result, WnK System became the second company to receive approval after Royal Group, a Cambodian company, obtained its business license in January. The Securities and Exchange Commission had previously stated that it would only grant business licenses to two companies in line with Cambodia's economic scale and blockchain market conditions, making WnK System the final recipient of this license.
According to a company representative, "Our virtual asset exchange system has been recognized for its technological superiority, as we smoothly passed the government approval process from the Cambodian Securities and Exchange Commission and its superior institution, the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Additionally, our active efforts in promoting blockchain technology exchange between Korea and Cambodia, nurturing IT talent, and attracting investments from related Korean companies were key factors that the Cambodian government highly appreciated."
Meanwhile, WnK System will hold a launch ceremony on July 25 at the Fairfield by Marriott Hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, inviting government officials from both countries, business leaders, and blockchain associations.
